Hardin Valley Holds on to Win after Walker Valley erases 8-Run Deficit
The Hardin Valley Hawks opened up scoring in the first inning. Wong-Shasteen drove in one with a single.
Hardin Valley then scored six runs in the fourth inning. The Hawks offense in the inning came from a walk by Trent Tilley, a single by Trenton Bolding, a single from Ty Denton, an error on a ball put in play by Brycen Denton, and a double by Wong-Shasteen.
Walker Valley scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Their offense in the inning was led by Curtis, Hodges, and Landon Franklin, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Connor O'Donnell was on the hill for Hardin Valley, the righty surrendered four runs on three hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
Lane Miller led things off on the mound for Walker Valley. He surrendered four runs on seven hits over three innings, walking zero. Parker Minnix, Aiden Gibson, and Aaron Martinez each contributed in relief for Walker Valley.
